Ruth is a fiber artist based in Brattleboro, Vermont. She uses recycled materials and humor to explore the power of domesticity and the body at home.

Ruth sculpts at the intersection of craft, domesticity, and feminism, using secondhand fabrics and repurposed fluff. Excepting clothes, our fabric interactions are overwhelmingly in the home, where sheets, blankets, pillows, napkins, and curtains define our spaces and intimately surround us at our most vulnerable. With humor, abstraction, and nostalgic prints, Ruth wonders how our fabrics and experiences co-mingle to create our identities.

Ruth is committed to using second-hand, recycled, and repurposed materials whenever possible, to sew, weave, crochet, embroider, and draw. If you have unwanted materials, consider sending them her way.
